COLBY, Kan. – A pair of wins for the Fort Scott Community College softball team in non-conference action last week was led by Greyhound players Naudia Wech and Aubrey Kinsey, the week five Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Softball Player of the Week award winners.
Naudia Wech – Fort Scott (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Player of the Week)
Wech had a big week at the plate for the Greyhounds, hitting .538 with a .600 on-base percentage and 1.538 slugging percentage across four games for Fort Scott. Recording at least one hit in three of the four games for FSCC, Wech capped the week with a three-home run game against Marshalltown and drove in seven as all five hits in a five-for-five performance went for extra bases. Six of Wech's seven hits last week went for extra bases.
Aubrey Kinsey – Fort Scott (KJCCC Division 2 Softball Pitcher of the Week)
Kinsey tossed two complete games for Fort Scott last week, helping the Greyhounds split games with Dawson Community College and Marshalltown Community College. Against Dawson, Kinsey allowed just one run on two hits in a 6-1 Greyhound win. Against Marshalltown three days later, Kinsey struck out five despite taking the loss in the circle in a 4-1 defeat to the Tigers.
