Gavina Earns First Team All-Conference Honors at Shortstop

Gavina put together a season to remember for the Greyhounds, emerging as one of the most consistent and explosive players in the league. The Amarillo, Texas native was a key spark for the Greyhounds all season long, bringing energy, toughness, and production on both sides of the ball.

Gavina finished the year with an impressive .402 batting average while appearing in 47 games, collecting 70 hits, 54 runs scored, and 34 RBIs. He also tallied 14 doubles, two triples, and three home runs while posting a stellar .486 on-base percentage and .557 slugging percentage. His ability to consistently get on base and create offense made him one of the toughest outs in the conference.

When conference play intensified, Gavina elevated his game even further, batting .419 against league opponents with 52 hits and 33 runs scored in 29 conference games. He also added eight stolen bases on the season, showcasing his ability to impact the game in multiple ways.
