Colt To Be Prize for FSCC Rodeo Supporters

The Fort Scott Community College Rodeo team is giving away a colt on Sunday, March 8 as part of the third day of the 34th Annual Fort Scott Community College NIRA Spring College Rodeo. The suggested donation for a ticket is $5 or three tickets for $10.

Tickets can be purchased from rodeo team members, Head Coach Chad Cross or Assistant Coach Cali Griffin.  Tickets will also be on sale at the rodeo on March 6, 7 and 8.

The colt was donated by Wayne and Julie Hall.  The colt will be three years old in June.

Rodeo team member, Will Lemon, said of the colt, "He's a good size colt with a good head.  I'd be glad to take him home."

Fort Scott Community College will be hosting a college rodeo for the Central Plains Region on March 6 at 7:30 p.m.; March 7 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and March 8 at 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults; $5 for FSCC students; $3 for children between the ages of six and twelve; and free for children five and under.

The rodeo will feature athletes from twenty-five two-year and four-year colleges from Kansas and Oklahoma.
