The Fort Scott Community College women's basketball team fell to the Washburn JV lady Ichabods on Tuesday night 67-50 at Arnold Arena.
The Greyhounds have been hampered with injuries all season long with multiple top players out for the season with knee injuries and last night they were without sophomore forward Sarah Kelley who is day to day with a knee injury.
Playing only freshmen, the Greyhounds trailed 19-15 after the first quarter but Washburn would outscore the Lady Hounds 25-18 in the second quarter to take a 44-33 lead at the half. There were a couple of times in the second half that FSCC was able to pull inside single digits but Washburn had an answer at every turn.
The Greyhounds posted two players in double figures with Ally McKenzie leading the way with 12 points with eight of those points coming from the free throw line. Arkiarra Clark also finished the game in double figures with 11 points.
The Greyhounds are now 5-6 overall and will head to Beatrice, Nebraska this weekend and will face Southeast Community College on Friday and Central Community College-Columbus on Saturday.
