The Fort Scott Community College men's basketball team dominated from start to finish on Tuesday night at Arnold Arena, picking up the 87-51 win over Washburn JV.
The Greyhounds shot 53% in the first half and led by 16 at the break but the defense was a big story as FSCC piled up 10 steals and seven blocks in the victory.
Tyler Zinn, averaging nearly 20 points per game going into the game with Washburn JV, tallied a game high 22 points along with five assists and three steals. Four other Hounds reached double figure scoring as Donnie Flowers scored 14 points and added seven rebounds.
Andre Nelson and Jayden Davis had 12 points each and Daemar Jones finished with 10 points. Decquan Richardson led the defensive attack with four blocks. Marshawn Williams also added four steals along with eight points and five assists.
Washburn JV was led in scoring by former Manhattan High Indian Tommy Ekart with 14 points.
The Greyhounds have won three straight games and seven of their last nine and are 8-5 overall. They'll travel to Beatrice, Nebraska for games on Friday and Saturday against Southeast Community College and Central Community College-Columbus.
